Our Mission

Surties exists to cover Surat the way Surat deserves to be covered — with rigour, with local context, and without the usual noise. We focus on the decisions, people, and shifts that shape life in our city: from the civic body's monsoon plans to the next phase of the Diamond Bourse, from textile market trends in Ring Road to neighbourhood stories in Adajan, Vesu, Athwa, Varachha and beyond.

We are not a wire-copy aggregator. Every story is reported, edited, or commissioned by our team.

Bilingual by Design

Surat is a city that speaks Gujarati at home, English at work, and Hindi at the chai stall. Our website is bilingual: every interface element switches between English and ગુજરાતી with one tap. Posts may be published in either language depending on the story.

How We're Funded

We earn revenue through display advertising (Google AdSense and direct partnerships), sponsored content clearly labelled as such, and newsletter sponsorships. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage.
